The school board has confirmed that all schools will NOT be reopening on April 6th. As such, they are getting ready to assist capabilities for distance learning. Please find below the communication that was sent out from the board, including a link to a survey that will assist in their planning:
Dear Parent/Guardian,
The Ministry of Education has confirmed that schools will remain closed beyond April 6. We hope that you have had the opportunity to check out and use the resources provided by the Ministry of Education as well as supplementary Toronto Catholic District School Board (TCDSB) resources during Phase1 of our response plan.
The TCDSB is currently planning to provide further support for Phase 2 of this closure, which will focus on distance learning. We are collaborating with a number of educational partners and will communicate details on this plan as they become available.
To assist with this preparation, we are asking that you please review our short parent survey, which will help us assess how many of our students are in need of technological devices. (For example: desktop computer, laptop, Chromebook, smartphones) and/or internet access at home.
During these extraordinary times, please know that we value our shared partnership with parents and caregivers, and know that we are committed to providing every student with the necessary tools to support their learning from home.
We thank you for your understanding during these difficult times.
Please complete this brief survey.
